2025

2025 was the year things felt stronger than ever our confidence grew and so did our festival! The excitement for our Guest Master Teacher was through the roof! We were extremely happy to be able to bring for the first time in Cyprus the phenomenal Leandro Ferreyra all the way from Argentina. Leandro is an incredible teacher and choreographer who gave us two fire workshops, Oriental Tango and Mejance. The line up was completed with Anastasia Herodotou our local powerhouse teaching an energetic Street Shaabi workshop and Alexia Nadirah of course completed the line up with a Juicy Balady Choreography. The Workshops took place at Bailemos Dance School, our Gala Show was at Kosmiko Kentro Antonakis and our Competition was held at Dianellou & Theodotou Gymnasium. Our Queen Category Competition is now established prior to our Gala Show so guest could get a taste of more upcoming talent and a glimpse into our world and processes. Friday Night Welcome Party/Dinner was super fun with an authentic Lebanese Dinner at Fanous Restaurant in the heart of the old town of Nicosia with guest both local and international enjoying some tasty Lebanese Meze and a belly dance show by the in house dancer and friend Silvana Hasna which turned into a party full of dance and laughter. It was definitely memorable, this year we gave all participants little welcome gifts and our Bazaar had a Re-Sale Counter where dancers could bring older or unused costumes since we believe in the ethos of reusing and up cycling fashion!
